Express Uneasiness

The name is self-explanatory right! Before we get into what all this is about, let’s talk about  “The Expressing Thing”
What do you think happens when one expresses oneself?
When an artist expresses, great artwork comes to life right!

We all are not only showing our talents/skills we are also expressing ourselves through the things we do. 


Authors express themselves through their writings, dancers through their dance, singers through their singing, and things like that… the point is that we express ourselves in various ways and that’s called self-expression.

The most common ways in which we usually express ourselves are our actions and words.

As we live in the age of social media so what we do by posting posts/stories, updating status, we are somewhat expressing ourselves, right!

But you know what, we are very selective, we usually share only good things, what about uneasy things?

We don’t share such things that easily with others, our mind resists, we think of what others would think, fear being judged, fear criticism, and various things that stop us from expressing ourselves.

It’s not our fault actually, things have been like that, and our society has been like that.

Society taught us that if there is something good then we shall share/celebrate it with others but when something uneasy happens what do we do?

Do we share? Are we encouraged to share? Not really!


Now Expressing ourselves is important, in fact very important!

Express Uneasiness

Here expressing is not just about good things, it’s about everything, including uneasy things! You must have heard the term “Bottle Up/Bottling it Up” where one tries to hide/keep their feelings inside, like instead of expressing they prefer suppressing. Several studies have shown how harmful this is to us. Do you know what happens when one bottles up? It explodes, those things come out with a force and one gets hurt! You say, what should one prefer? To keep running away from uneasy emotions and getting hurt whenever one faces them in any way or to face them once and for all, overcome them, express oneself, and get back to life with the confidence that if those uneasy things come again, I’m going to deal with them with ease. “The aim of Expressing Uneasiness is to facilitate one in dealing uneasy things with ease.” Talking and expressing uneasy things may make you vulnerable for the time being, so it should be taken just as a phase and as you go through it, you will improve and eventually become stronger.

Now what “Express Uneasiness” is all about?

It’s about expressing ourselves, acknowledging and understanding our thoughts, feelings, emotions, and everything that makes us. Learning and practicing healthy ways of processing and expressing uneasy emotions so that you deal with them, with ease πŸ€— Your Psychologist, Ambidextrous Anmol
